We're Here, Folks

LESS than 24 hours. In fact, about 11 hours from now we'll be leaving to get him. TO BRING HOME OUR SON.

Can you believe it???

Was it not just yesterday when he was born? Was it not an hour ago when I was so upset at the thought of our waiting time being extended by three days?

Well, all that is in the past. Tomorrow at noon we'll meet our caseworkers to finish up paperwork and then, about 30 minutes later, the foster parents will arrive.

I can hardly stand it.

I don't know when I'll update but rest assured I will. Or someone will. Thank you for your prayers, support and companionship on this brief but exciting journey. And now, as I continue doen the path as a mother a TWO, please stick around for what I'm sure will be an interesting sequel.

:-)

Jacob..... it's almost time!

I can't imagine how excited you are. We are excited at our house because in less than 3 days our son is coming home for Christmas. He is in the army and hasn't been home for 6 months, so we, like you are counting days and hours! I'm so happy for you. Praying tomorrow is just a huge blessing of a day for your family!

EEEEEEEEEEEEE! Jacob, I can't wait to meet you!!! Jackson has been so excited with anticipation to meet his new friend. Just a few more hours, just a few more hours. Oh, and BTW, Jacob, just overlook all the crying and sobbing Jimmy and I will do when we meet you. I promise, we won't always do that.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Enjoy this journey into motherhood that you are about to take, for far too soon they grow.
Enjoy every moment.
To me, nothing is better than holding a baby as it sleeps. Watching them sleep so peacefully, knowing they are safe, secure and loved, and that you are the reason they can do so.
Daniel is now a big brother and it will be a joy to watch him with Jacob.
You are truely blessed.

Can't wait for the update on baby Jacob's arrival! I wish we could be there, but Sara is still a little to small to travel, maybe in the next few weeks we can meet up and meet the new members of the family. Can you believe there are now 8 grandchildren in the family! We are so excited for you and can't wait to see you guys! We are happy God has seen this through and you are finally getting to bring your little boy home! God Bless!!!!!

I am now doing the bloggy equivalent of driving by your house at 10 minute intervals to see if your car's back in the driveway/garage. And occasionally getting out of my own car and peering into your windows. Yes, I am. I hope wherever you are, you are lapping up baby Jacob's cuteness and sweetness and loving on him and sharing him with his Big Bro.

Love to all of you - M

I'm doing the happy dance right now for you. I bet he's in your arms. I like what Shannon said - strap him on you and type away. May it be a smooth transition for all!!
