She's At the Hospital!

S. had her doctor's appointment this afternoon and they have admitted her for inducement! They said she is only at 1cm so it could be a VERY LONG time...but, we are getting closer!

I know it's a bit confusing, but here is the basic timeline we're dealing with as you keep us and the birth family in your prayers:

Day of Birth-- most likely tomorrow
Day after delivery--signing papers to terminate parental rights
When leaving hopsital, J. will be discharged to an interim care family
(14) consecutive 24-hour periods (14 days) after signing... he's ours!
Day after 14 day period expires-- J. comes home!

So, you can see how the basic timeline works. This of course all hinges on the birthmother following through with the adoption plan.

I am praying for her right now. I hope that she is comfortable and that her mind has some degree of peace about the situation. I pray that J. has a smooth transition into this world and that he will soon be safe in our arms...

(I've been reading for a while now but don't think I've commented) Anyway I'm so excited this is almost here for you! Congrats! And we'll pray that things go as God plans and that the bmom will be healthy and strong. I'm glad you put out the timeline because I thought you'd bring baby home the next day. Do you get to see him during that time period, the two weeks? You must be going out of your mind!

Woohoo, we're having a baby! Dacob will make three people I know who have a Nov. 29th birthday, that's kinda cool.

I'm so excited for that 14-day clock to start ticking and for you to have him in your arms. Prayers all around.
