I have decided that I would like to use this space to write a letter of gratitude every now and then. There are people I come in contact with every day that do things big and small... each having their own impact on my life. Some of these people will never see this...and some not for a long time...but that does not matter. The acknowledgement is the important part to me.
This letter is for Steve Rountree and Debbie Burns:

What a great idea! And being thankful is always a good thing.
Well my goodness, make a girl cry will you. I deeply appreciate your gratitude and feel the same for the opportunity to be your friend during the best and worst of times. I loved our road trips, your wonderful voice in song and laughter and a sisterhood of understanding. You've gotten me all verklempt now and you owe me some Kleenex...
Debbie
What a great tribute to two obviously great people!
I just started thinking about a way to recognize the big and even the little things that people do for me each day... I discovered a gratitude journal that my Mom had written in (that I never knew about)...it inspired me to acknowledge when people make a difference in my life! (and these two definitely did)
What a great idea. And those are two beautiful letters you started with!
